Managing Environmental Responsibilities aims to ensure people in positions of responsibility appreciate the environmental issues relating to their working processes and develop an understanding of how to manage them.

The course comprises six core modules and is delivered over the course of 5 days.

This course is accredited by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

The course covers the following core topics:

• An introduction to environmental issues and their management
• Legal requirements
• Water
• Air
• Land
• Environmental management systems

On completion of this course a delegate will:

• Understand how business activities can affect the environment
• Understand the legal issues surrounding environmental management
• Make informed decisions about environmental management systems

Assessment and Certification

• A nationally recognised certificate is presented to all those attending the course and successfully completing the Institution's assessment procedure.
• The course is assessed by a combination of a short practical environmental project and a simple examination.
