Provides continued professional development on the implementation of an Environmental Management System. The programme is delivered in five classroom sessions, supported by a one day on-site diagnostic visit. Assessment is based on a portfolio of evidence developed by delegates as they implement an EMS in their own workplace (Phase 3 of BS 8555).

The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management.

Course outline:

• Commitment, baseline assessment and environmental performance indicators
• Legal, market and customer requirements
• Confirmation and management of environmental aspects
• Establishing and maintaining an EMS

On completion of this course a delegate will be able to:

• Have the knowledge to deal confidently and competently with environmental issues at the workplace
• Be able to implement a basic EMS
• Successful delegates will become an Environmental Partner with Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental
• Management (CIWEM)
