Provides continued professional development on the implementation of an Environmental Management System. The programme is delivered in five classroom sessions, supported by a one day on-site diagnostic visit. Assessment is based on a portfolio of evidence developed by delegates as they implement an EMS in their own workplace (Phase 3 of BS 8555).
The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management.
Course outline:
- Commitment, baseline assessment and environmental performance indicators
- Legal, market and customer requirements
- Confirmation and management of environmental aspects
- Establishing and maintaining an EMS
On completion of this course a delegate will be able to:
- Have the knowledge to deal confidently and competently with environmental issues at the workplace
- Be able to implement a basic EMS
- Successful delegates will become an Environmental Partner with Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental
- Management (CIWEM)
